I needed a 100% waterproof covering for a couch that my cats tend to be naughty on. In this situation, “water-resistant” wasn’t going to be enough. This cover is DEFINITELY completely waterproof!! It’s already saved my couch 3 times — which means it’s also been through the washer 3 times, & it’s still like new. I washed it with warm water but avoided the dryer — I hung it up to air dry instead. (I kept needing to rotate the cover while it was drying, because it’s SO waterproof that water from the washing machine pooled in the corners! :-)

I do have to mention that it’s not a great fit for my couch, even though I measured everything precisely; but I also think it’s impossible to get a perfect fit unless you have a cover custom-made, so this wasn’t a surprise. The cover comes with plastic-covered foam tubes to keep the cover tucked into your couch, but they pop right out as soon as someone sits on the couch (see photo), so I quit using them. I just try to tuck in extra fabric where I can & secure it under the couch legs. Personally, I don’t mind if the cover looks a bit saggy; it does what it’s supposed to, which is to keep cat-generated liquids from ruining my couch!!

I bought these over a year ago because I have 2 naughty little dachshunds that ate my couch and pee on it when they are mad..... These slipcovers have been washed weekly (often with bleach) and still look brand new! And they look nice and are comfortable to lay on. They are also marked with tags all along the inside making it pretty easy to put on.
